How does tix4cause Work?

1. tix4cause has partnered with a national ticket exchange so that millions of tickets from the secondary ticket market are available on its website. If you are interested in these tickets and want to view and/or purchase them, you will be directed off the tix4cause website to our trusted affiliate’s website. Prior to being transferred, you will be asked to register with tix4cause by providing your email and selecting a cause member of your choice to benefit should you decide to purchase. If you do purchase tickets through the tix4cause portal, 7.5% of the ticket purchase price you pay in that transaction will be directed to the cause member you selected. There are no extra costs or fees to buy these secondary tickets through the tix4cause portal so give your purchase power, make a difference and check out tix4cause first before you buy!

2 . Causes, charities and non-profits can sign up as tix4cause members to receive even more benefits. As a member they can receive donations of tickets and certificates and even market and sell tickets to their own events. Membership is FREE and these organizations can receive up to 100% of the proceeds depending on the particular transaction.
Individuals, businesses or corporations can buy tickets on tix4cause.com and they can donate those tickets they can’t use. No sense wasting them and all it takes is registering on tix4cause.com and providing relevant event information such as location, date and time. Then depending on the ticket type, they can upload any electronic tickets or mail paper donations to the tix4cause fulfillment center.

3. Donors choose their favorite member cause to benefit, and, once verified and approved by tix4cause , the donation is offered for sale by the cause on the website.

4. If the donor selects a 501 (c) (3) organization, the donor receives an e-generated tax receipt on behalf of the selected cause for the donation.

5 . When a purchaser selects a tix4cause offering and pays for it on the tix4cause website, the tickets are sent to the buyer either electronically ("e-tickets"), via mobile, or via FedEx for paper donations.

6. When a purchaser selects a ticket exchange ticket, the purchaser is taken to our trusted affiliate and completes the transaction on the affiliate’s website. All affiliate transaction details are subject to the affiliate’s terms, conditions and rules.

7 . Within 30 days of the completion of a tix4cause proprietary transaction and, where applicable receipt of the funds, tix4cause makes prompt payment to the applicable cause.

What if I don’t receive my ticket in time?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, at time of purchase, you can choose the shipping option you’d like. If an event is close, we recommend you choose an expedited shipping option to ensure you receive your ticket in time. If you do not receive your ticket in time due to factors within our control, we will refund your transaction. If it’s because of factors beyond our control, we are not able to refund your transaction.

If you purchase a tix4cause offering that is a Will Call purchases, you will be instructed to print the PDF receipt attached to your purchase confirmation email. This receipt must be presented at your event for entrance.

What is the face value of a ticket?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, the face value of the ticket is the price printed on the front of the ticket and is determined by the original source. If a ticket package includes additional offerings such as parking, meals etc, the “face value” is the package price determined by the original source.

How much is the Service Charge for the purchaser?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, tix4cause charges an 8% service charge to defray its administration and processing costs.

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, tix4cause monitors each set of tickets to check for authenticity. However, should a ticket turn out to be counterfeit, as confirmed by our independent investigation, we will confirm the situation and refund your full purchase price.

When is my ticket purchase through tix4cause confirmed?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, ticket purchases are confirmed by email within 24 hours of transaction completion. Once you have submitted your order, except as otherwise provided, your purchase is non-refundable and your order cannot be changed. CAUSES

tix4cause member organizations are also able to do and receive more for their organizations. One of the benefits of membership is that members can receive donations of tickets to all types of events through the site and than sell them to receive up to 90% of the proceeds. And member organizations can also market and sell tickets to their own events and receive 100% of the proceeds!

What kinds of causes can become members?

Causes of all types are eligible to register as a member but tix4cause retains the absolute discretion at all times to approve, deny and cancel a membership at any time.

What is the cost of becoming a member?

FREE! Causes register on tix4cause.com at no cost, create an online profile and raise additional funds by receiving up to 100% of the proceeds.

Can my cause sell tickets to its own events?

Yes! The tix4cause.com platform allows causes to sell tickets to their own events. It's simple. You can post your event on your tix4cause page and, whenever a purchase is made against that event, you will receive notification via email of the purchase (including the purchaser's contact information). Your purchaser will receive a printable receipt via email, which they then present at the event for entrance.

DONORS

How do I know that up to 100% of the ticket proceeds will go to the designated charity?

tix4cause strives for total transparency in its business transactions. Upon the completion of a transaction, both the donor and purchaser receive documentation from the cause confirming their generous support and the cause tracks all donations and purchases through their own administrative pages on the website that provide accurate information in real time.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

tix4cause makes no representation as to whether a donation to a designated charity is tax deductible. We advise all donors to consult a tax advisor to determine whether a deduction is allowable. Once you donate a ticket, a letter from the applicable charity is automatically generated to document your donation and is listed in your account on the tix4cause website. This letter will not include the value donated. The amount you claim as a tax deduction is your decision.

What happens to donations if they don’t sell?

While we make every effort to market the tickets that are posted on our website, we cannot guarantee or make any warranty that every ticket donated to a cause on tix4cause will sell. We work with the receiving cause to market the offering through their support base as well. Please note: Once you have donated your ticket on tix4cause , you will receive your tax receipt whether the ticket sells or not.

As a donor, how should I price my donation?

To ensure a dynamic marketplace, tix4cause recommends you sell your tickets or experiences at the price charged by the original source.

When do I find out about my donation?

We’ll send you an email notifying you when your donation is offered for sale and another one if and when it sells. You can see the status of your donations at any time in My Account.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Can I cancel or exchange my order after it has been confirmed?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, all purchases through tix4cause are final. Tickets will not be refunded or exchanged. Therefore, please be sure you have selected the correct event, seat location(s) and/or Cause prior to completing your order. What happens if an event is postponed?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, occasionally, events may be canceled or postponed by event organizers. You are solely responsible with respect to any changes in the date, time or location of any event for which you purchased tickets. No refunds are available for any postponed event if your original tickets will be honored for the new date of the rescheduled event. What happens if an event is canceled?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, cancellation policies are determined by event organizers and can vary. Generally, you likely will receive a refund of the ticket’s face value as soon as the cancellation is confirmed. You will have the option of being refunded your ticket purchase amount, or of allowing the charity for whom the ticket was donated to keep the funds. I lost my tickets. Is there anything you can do to replace them?

If you purchase a tix4cause offering, no. Unfortunately, once tickets are delivered, they cannot be replaced or refunded if lost or destroyed. However, if your tickets were emailed as e-tickets you should be able to reprint and use them. tix4cause is not responsible for lost, destroyed or stolen tickets.
